The Beeches Day Nursery opened in March 2002 with the aim of providing safe, structured and fun nursery environment where each child is valued and respected as a unique individual and where they can grow and develop within a safe, supportive environment.

The ethos of the Beeches puts the individual at the centre of our service. Our aim is simply to provide the highest standard of care to every child, whether they attend every day, or for just a few hours a week.
We employ both qualified and unqualified staff, who are chosen for their empathy and communication skills, both with children and also their parents. We provide our own induction programme and we continually seek to develop the skills and performance of our staff team.
Our aim is to help each child build a foundation for life by developing confidence, inquisitive and enquiring minds and good social skills. All activities are carefully planned and are appropriate to each age group. Each room is individually equipped with a wide range of books, toys and furniture appropriate to the age group to enable them to fulfil their needs and encourage development.
All our staff are carefully vetted by police and social services before they can start working at the nursery and these checks are repeated every three years.
We are open from 7.30am to 6.30pm every weekday for children from three months to eleven year olds, plus an after-schools club. On request we can also provide a nutritious breakfast and lunch.
The Nursery is located in the small town of Aghalee, a few miles from the busy market town of Moira with the City of Lisburn, Lurgan town and Belfast City no more than 20 minutes away by car.
Our building was specifically designed to provide a safe environment for young children. For their safety and parents peace of mind, we have carefully planned security features. Digital keypads on the entrance to the ground and first floor foyers are controlled by staff so only authorised people can gain entry and children are only allowed to leave with authorised adults. Alarmed fire exits open onto securely fenced areas and a CCTV system operates continuously to records all activity in the nursery.
We have a large car park and a secure, sunny garden to the rear with a large covered area allowing outside activity throughout the year. The building is bright and cheerful with five large open plan rooms for group activities and smaller areas where the children can look at books and play quietly. The whole nursery has been designed to create a safe and fulfilling environment for young children. The design is fun, bright and attractive to children, with specific areas for active play, relaxing, sleeping and eating.
We have a fully equipped, professional kitchen and a separate dining room. All meals are prepared on-site from the best ingredients. Cloakrooms are also designed for children with miniature toilets and washbasins.
