The Beeches has a lot of experience looking after people with a learning disability. We want to make sure that you are treated just like everyone else. You have an equal right to make choices about your life, to go to school, to work, to go out and about and to be respected as an independent person. It is our job to give you the help and support you need to live, work and enjoy your life.
The Beeches nursing and residential homes are specially designed to give you privacy and to keep you safe. You can have your own lockable bedroom which you can decorate as you like. The staff are all very friendly and they are all trained to look after people with a learning disability. Their number one priority is your safety and independence.
Our Resource Centre has a lot of organised activities and training. You can choose what you want to do, the groups are small and you will get a lot of support from the staff. You will be able to do several different activities that will make your time at the centre varied and interesting.
The Beeches recognises that you have a right to a life that offers new opportunities and challenges. We can provide: enjoyable daytime activities; learning essential life and social skills; vocational training and the skills needed for the workplace. We also organises many leisure activities and outings and we make full use of the facilities the local community has to offer including: cinemas, restaurants, pubs, local leisure centres, bowling, Gateway clubs and we also organise short holiday breaks.
Your family, relatives and friends are welcome to visit any time of the day. You will be able to meet with them in private or to go out with them if you and they want to. You will also be able to make and receive phone calls when you want..
