Who are typical placements candidates?

The Beeches can offer relevant student placements for a range of professional and vocational courses relating to health and social care. We have facilitated placements for student nurses, social science students and social work students. We have also participated in limited placements and work experience for students from local secondary schools and further education colleges.

Who will support you in your training?

You will be supported by a senior member of staff (in the case of student nurses by a senior staff nurse) who will have had experience of supporting other students on placement.

You will also have access to the resources available at the Beeches; from talking to our senior management team; internet access; a library of textbooks and journals; meeting other professionals and sitting in on meetings, reviews and discussions.

How will training match your learning objectives?

Our wide range of services has met the learning objectives for a number of professional and vocational courses. We have experience of providing learning experiences and support for student nurses, psychology and social work degree students as well as NVQ candidates studying Health and Social Care.

The Beeches have for several years offered its employees access to NVQ Health and Social Care courses at levels 2, 3 or 4. We have also facilitated NVQ level 4 in Management for our senior managers. We employ in-house assessors and verifiers for these courses and as such we are more than able to meet the learning objectives for all types of health and social care candidates.

Are you doing a research project?

The Beeches has participated in a number of research projects for undergraduate and post-graduate studies. We would appreciate it if departments, students or graduates could first contact the Beeches to discuss how we can assist them with a research project.
