Individual Housing Support

'No44'  provides Housing Support services to adults with learning disabilities.

The primary aim of the service is to improve each service user's quality of life by supporting them to live as independent a life as possible. Housing Support Services may include; assistance with accessing benefits and managing their finances; maintaining their tenancy; assistance with performing domestic chores; assistance with accessing leisure and social activities and managing relationships with neighbours and resolving disputes. Housing Support services can cover a wide variety of tasks. They share a common goal of enabling the service user to maximize their independence by supporting or assisting them to develop  their skills and knowledge.

Each service user will be individually assessed and their specific housing support needs identified. An Individual Support Plan will be developed and implemented with their full involvement. The plan will be monitored and reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet the service user's needs.

Independence and Choice

The service users will be tenants and the accommodation will be considered the service users own home. They will have all the associated rights and responsibilities that normally come with legal occupancy agreements and they will be supported to exercise these rights and responsibilities to the fullest extent.

Housing Support services are provided independently of the tenancy agreement. Service users have the right to chose who supports them while living here.
